In the middle of Thunderclan camp cats gathered near a dead cat sharing their final night together. A young kit cried and cried for his mother to wake up but, she was long gone. The gray Maltese kitten looked up at another Maltese cat with her teal eyes gleaming in sadness and fury as she jerked her head at a broad dark orange cat with black stripes glowing silver in the moon light and bright white muzzle, belly and tail. "Dear Thunderclan citizens" meowed an orange flame colored tabby stood at the top of the Highrock, " we gather hear today because of the death of our beloved leader, Bluestar". He sadly twisted his head toward the crying kit. Then he looked at the crying apprentice sitting next to the Maltese queen holding the gray kit. He turned his head back to the clan. "Her son and daughter are still too young to take on the real world alone". "Bluepaw and Blueeyes will be cared for by Ellie down at the kit orphanage". Blueeyes looked to his right and saw a dim and dull den so dark that he couldn't even see the inside. "I don't know if I want to live with this Ellie" he thought to himself. "May she rest in peace in Starclan" the ginger cat purred. "I, Fireheart, has spoken with our medicine cat, Spottedleaf, who has been spoken by Starclan and has chosen me leader" he continued." Me, Willowpelt, and Dustpelt will take on our journey to Mothermouth so I can receive my leader name and be known as Firestar". "Graystripe will be watching the camp while I'm gone". A longhaired gray cat stood near the clearing edge looking pleased as he purred with amusement. Blueeyes, the little gray kit with blue eyes, thought that he had a whole adventure in his eyes but, the journey was only just beginning.

The wind blew a strong breeze as the light from the bright yellow sun shone down on two cats just sitting in silence. A gray cat looked up at the blue sky. He broth in and broth out. A fresh white cat with black paws padded over to him." You know Blueeyes" he mewed , breaking the silence, " Relaxing is what is part of being a warrior". "But Blackshoes"yowled Blueeyes,"If I'm all relaxed then how am I going to fight other cats from other clans in case of a battle".
