Umbreon's dark type is subtler than Jolteon. This Pokemon focuses on efficiency and stealth. They work for the good of their community without being observed. Its black body has yellow ring-markings, which make its appearance striking.

It blends seamlessly into the dark and waits patiently for prey to appear. When it pounces on its prey, the rings of its body will glow in an ominous manner. It can also spray an ominous cloud of sweat to paralyze his opponent. Umbreon has mastered the darkness and can make his enemies tremble with a simple glance.

This Pokemon has a name that's a play-on-words, combining the Latin for shadow, umbra and the.eon suffix shared by all Eevee's evolutionary stages. This is the only Eevee that has the pure dark-type. Although it has excellent defenses and health, its attack stats are not as good, so it's often used in support decks. This Pokemon can be very powerful but hasn't been as popular as its more flashy cousins. This is because it lacks an effective move that would compensate for the low attack stats. In addition, other decks are able to use its stalling skills to their advantage. It's still a great option for any Dark-type of deck. Dark Explorers is a great expansion to find this card in, as are most sets that follow. The only set where its type changes is in EX Delta Species, but only because the Pokemon becomes Metal. The rest of its history is the same. Due to this, it is vulnerable to Fighting types and has a resistance to Psychics. The good news is that it is a wonderful Pokemon.
