There's a chance that you're an Overwatch avid player and have heard that Blizzard just finished a cosplay contest that featured costumes that are so intricate that they make the game literally live. Two winners were chosen by the Blizzard team, and the second by the community. Both were stunning. Every entry felt as if we had been transported to the game.
The top prize is awarded to the Russian team, each cosplayer who participated was a winner in our book. No matter if they were portraying the traditional D. Va or the more modern Cruiser D. Va, the amount of thought and expert craftsmanship that went into their creations is truly impressive. Here are some of our favorites from the last rounds of the competition.
Overwatch fans will be able to recognize this D. Va Cosplay by @eebanee. She even put her iconic pink whiskers in the cosplay! Her cosplay was spotted at the NYCC Eastern Championship of Cosplay in August of 2018.
This variant of D.Va is a popular choice among fans. It has the gothic lolita style dress that has puffy sleeves, and a big pink ribbon around her neck. Dva Related Products comes with an black corset as well as a purple skirt, as with black gloves and socks with patterns. The hat she wears is a black wig with pink ribbon accents, and she wears her blonde hair in twin tails secured by additional pink ribbons.
The Baihu Genji designed by @babycubez is absolutely beautiful. The precision of the work is astounding, and the build took more than 600 hand-crafted pieces of EVA foam to make.
Azurite genji, from the brand new Overwatch Legendary Skins line. The skin was showcased at MCM London Comic Con 2018. It's sure to dominate the battle. The wings on this outfit are amazing, and the character even included a real-life Genji popgun that really brings the look to life!
