Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit has designed a distinctive keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of the Bentley brand. Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying 'B' paperweight, a set of keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.
This is the perfect method to welcome a brand new car owner.
Aesthetics
Bentley is a firm which takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise location of its quilting the choice of leather sourced from by-products of cattle, the wood that comes from sustainably managed forests and the ingenious patterns that are etched on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in, displaying its sculptural beauty and power through carefully planned lighting.
The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. The rear of the tonneau in the Continental GT, for instance was the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
It is this unique design, quality and attention to detail that has established Bentley as the most sought-after automotive brand. The company continues pushing boundaries with the latest technologies and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear window sunroof and a crafted Apple iPad docking station.
Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, 100 years after the marque was established. The marque, which is now owned by Volkswagen without a partner following years of conflict with BMW and BMW, had planned a number of special events and launches to mark this historic occasion. Before the pandemic planning took the center stage, the company had a number of special events and launches planned to mark the occasion.
Design
Bentley is a renowned brand for its extravagant and lavish automobiles and even keys are designed to make a statement. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver and has the large 'B' symbol that let everyone know that you're a Bentley. The key is also engraved with the dates 1919 and 2019 to commemorate the company's centennial.
Bentley Mulliner redesigned and redesigned the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It features two opposing pairs of rear seats that are inspired by luxury private aviation, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and privacy. A customized heating, air conditioning and ventilation system was designed to ensure each passenger has the ideal temperature control.
Alongside a range of refined styling updates The Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that is capable of producing 560bhp as well as 479lbft of torque. This powerhouse is complemented by a new suspension system that provides Bentley's hushed, quiet ride.
In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a bespoke specification called the Centenary Specification for vehicles built in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests and seats as well as other areas of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. A custom Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key features an open button on the trunk and another that starts the car. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob that can fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. Utilizing bentley key fob can aid you in getting in and out of the car more quickly.
The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes more than two days to craft each one. It is cut by hand shape, sewn, sealed and polished to give an extremely high-end finish. bently key is compact and strong, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar with the Volkswagen Phaeton's big car key, however it feels more heavy and luxurious.
It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key, which helps prevent theft of keys with no key. This device is inserted into the remote-control fob, and disables it when the key has not been used for more than a few minutes. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can be used to open and start the car.
Bentley's distinctive design is a reflection of the values of the company that include high-quality craftsmanship engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Its headquarters in Crewe are home to more than 4000 employees responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers use the skills passed down through generations and apply them to the latest in technology in the automotive industry. This is the characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest.
Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to design their own car. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from beautiful landscapes to sporting events. Each time a selection is made the pattern that emerges will reveal the model preference for color, style and design for the custom Bentley.
The guests are given the keys in a case designed by hand, which contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that light up the door's opening path with the owner's name or logo when they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to build and put together the Mulsanne. The refusal to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this lengthy and laborious process. Instead of using a machine to space the perfectly-matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Instead of using the car's built-in sensors to guide it to parallel and perpendicular parking spots drivers must do it by hand.
Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities in an exclusive Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. bentley key , which pays tribute to the founder William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars come with an exclusive key that shows a portion of the 1930 8 Litre's crankshaft.
