Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to Kurnool people’s welfare

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport commonly referred to as Kurnool Airport is a newly built Greenfield airport located in Orvakal, Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The airport was constructed to improve connectivity to remote areas and provide low-cost air travel facilities to the people of Andhra Pradesh. The airport was built over 1,008 acres of land at a cost of ₹153 crores (US$19 million) and began its commercial operations in March 2021.
The foundation stone for Kurnool Airport was laid by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu in June 2017. Under the leadership of NCBN, the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh worked towards making the airport a reality. Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP government were committed to improving the infrastructure and transportation facilities in the state, and the construction of Kurnool Airport was a testament to their efforts.
