How to Make Harry Potter Costumes to Wear on Halloween

Harry Potter includes students from many wizarding schools in the books and movies, including Durmstrang Institute of Magic and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Cosplayer, Our Shieldmaiden, was inspired by this Ravenclaw look when designing her Ravenclaw-inspired costume. She created her look by pairing a baby blue gown with a lightweight shawl, thick tights, tall boots, and a light-colored shawl. She accessorized her outfit with a Ravenclaw Hat and Wand, adding flair to the character's signature scar.

Fans of the Weasleys might want to recreate the cute couple's look in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Magic Wand Blonde shared her costume tutorial on Instagram. She included a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. The box can be made out of a cardboard container and duct tap, and balloons with jelly beans to resemble the different flavors in the fictional candy. Complete the look by adding a broomstick along with props like Harry’s glasses and Ron’s wand.

Harry Potter enthusiasts who want to display their house pride on Halloween can opt for a replica Maroon and Gold Hermione robe. To create this easy DIY, combine a white buttoned-up shirt, a black sweater vest, knee high socks and black dress footwear. To complete the look, use a Harry Potter stick with a busted hand and a red lipstick crayon. Add duct tap to the wand, to look like it's broken. This will add an extra touch to authenticity.
