Slipknot was formed in Des Moines, Iowa, and it didn't take long before they made their name known worldwide. The band loved it and decided to incorporate it into their signature.
The Slipknot nonagram, which is a representation comprised of three equal triangles rotated at 40, 0, and 80 degrees, was created by the band in 1995 and symbolizes the 9 members of the band. The Slipknot nonagram is now an icon for the group and can be found on their t-shirts, albums and bags.
The Corey Taylor crew isn't only known for their Slipknot music, but for other projects as well, like Stone Sour and Korn. He's made some guest appearances with other groups.
With their 2008 album ALL HOPE IS GONE members from Iowa have lowered the volume and explored more melodic and emotional themes. But, after 2014's IOWA and 2019's WE ARE NOT YOUR MAN The band has returned to their roots. The music is more powerful and more savage than before.
