Minecraft developer Mojang has announced they will be collaborating with Telltale Games to create a new story mode for the game. Mojang says it will be a narrative-driven Minecraft game, but didn’t provide details on what it will look like.
The first episode will be released some time in 2015, and will be available on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices. Tece lana That's right. No matter what system you play on, you'll be able play the Minecraft story mode.
Minecraft: Story Mode will be released in a series of episodes. It's like Telltale's other games The Wolf Among Us or The Walking Dead. Gearbox, an outside developer, was also involved in these games. Be aware that the story mode can alter the player's perception of the Minecraft world. Mojang has put those fears to rest with their statement. We're not going to create an official story for Steve or explain the world of Minecraft in depth. It's going to be a fun game.
We're now interested to see what stories you can create using Minecraft's open sandbox. We're excited to find out.
