How to Change a Minecraft Skin on a PC


There are a few different ways to alter your skin's appearance in Minecraft.




How to Change Skin Through Minecraft.net




If you discover a skin, changing it is a simple task. First, visit Minecraft.net and log in to your account. Click Skins on the left side of the screen. You will be presented with two choices for your skin: a bigger variant and a smaller version. You can choose the one that suits you best.



Scroll down and click Select File. Select the skin file you chose and then click upload. After you have done this the skin will show up as the new skin the next time you start up the game.




How to change skins using Minecraft Launcher




Another method to change skins is through the Minecraft launcher. Launch the game and then click skins in the navigation bar. This screen lists all skins that you have added to the game, as well as the current skin you have installed.



If your current skin is not in the library, click Add to Library to make add it to the list of skins that are available to you. Click New Skin to add the skin to your downloads folder. Give the skin a name and select whether it fits the Classic or Slim player models.



After this, click Browse and navigate to the folder in which the skin is. Click on the skin, click OK,, and then click Save to save it to your library. Or click Save and use it to equip your character.



Place your cursor on any skin in your library and click Use to add it to your character. It will not alter your gameplay as it's only cosmetic.
