Some of the followers who have taken to Twitter to take down their merchandise includes this one who wrote that they were "throwing away the pink crybaby block t-shirt that I wore for a long time" one person wrote "I'm tossing my Melanie Martinez K12 poster." Some fans are taking down their merchandise to show support of female empowerment or affirm their opposition to violence against women.
