A Guide to Making a New York Style Pizza
The closest little Caesars to me would have to be the New York style pizza. This is a simple and fun variation of the original Neapolitan pizza style.
What makes this pizza so unique is its Caesar salad. Instead of using linkedin dressing, it uses a thin layer of croutons. This gives it a much deeper taste and the flavors really take center stage. When making a New York style pizza, you will need to use the full amount of croutons.
If you make your own pizza with Caesar salad on top, make sure that you marinate the salad before cooking it. You can do this by cooking the salad in olive oil, using a salad spinner, or leaving it in the refrigerator overnight. The marinade adds a lot of flavor to the salad.
For the crust of your pizza, you will use a pre-made dough base. The best way to make this crust is to use a traditional pizza stone. This is a simple to make method and will add a lot to the appearance of your pizza.
As far as toppings go, you can easily use any type of cheese you like. However, if you want the best texture and the best flavor, you should use mozzarella, cheddar, or even Gouda.
When making your own pizza, you should only use the fresh ingredients. Never buy pre-packaged pizza ingredients. These are full of additives and chemicals. Instead, purchase fresh ingredients only, such as whole milk, tomatoes, mushrooms, pepperoni, spinach, or zucchini.
Once you are done cooking on your pizza base, you will put on the toppings. Some of these toppings include anything you would normally put on a pizza. However, there are a few more unique ones to add to the New York style pizza.
One of them would be to place a sliced, cubed slice of an avocado onto a piece of bread or baguette. This creates a nice contrast on the pizza and creates a delicious sandwich for two.
