My son turned 9 on the day I posted this! NINE!! !



A Minecraft Party was requested. The easiest way to make one is to look for ideas from other people! So I went to this site and made this board. Sunny By Design had many wonderful things to offer. Here's a tribute to Minecraft Party..



Creeper juice. Those tiny Chubby drinks. Paper torn away and faces put on.



Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have dipped them into red melted chocolate but time was running out. https://flashants.com/ The slime balls were supposed to be green jello squares but they were left in my fridge. The zombie boogies were actually wasabi beans!



Sorry for the blurry photo. I made a few TNT bundles and then decided to not make them. Instead, I placed them in a glass. My most memorable moment of the evening was when my exclamation "There are still many fruits and vegetables left!" I'm going to put them in your bags of loot if you don't eat the fruits and vegetables today. There was a loud woosh to the table and food was being consumed. :



THe cake was a brownie rather than a cake. I decided to leave the edges uniced since the brownie would be softer. The icing was a Fluffy Boiled Frosting. It was not sweet at all. We created way too much for this cake So I made meringue puffs and put them in the oven. I took them home as well.



Here's what I learned to make meringue: beat your egg whites. bake at 350 degrees and then add them to the oven, shut off the oven, and allow to cool down. It's that simple.



The signs and grass leaves came taken from Sizzix dies. The old ones, the large, honkin', thick ones. It can be done in the cuttlebug using B plates at the bottom and top. The A plate should not be used in any way. To let loose some party spirit, we rented the local arena.



We go to general skating at least once per week. This kid has made a huge leap in the past few weeks. He even looks like a skater now!

Loot bag time!



The loot inside. I don't like giving loot bags that contain a lot of tiny things. So I made hand-made creeper cookies that took 2 days and a trip to the local bakery to ice (Thanks Flying Fox), the CD of Minecraft Parodies. I found the title on You Tube and gave it to my husband who worked his magic. Then, I gave him some snacks.



Birthday party's all over! (paper characters)



It was a blast!



Edited May 8: Wow y'all are probably in a reading frenzy for minecraft party ideas.What we would not do for our kids. This post has received nearly 10,000 hits so far. That's a lot of hits in my world. People have been pining my creeper juice bottles like mad. Awesome. Check out my sidebar. Only 13 followers. It makes me feel lonely.
