Full Of Hell Merchandise - Suffocating Hallucination Album Review
After a slow start, Full Of Hell hone their skills after 2017's Trumpeting Ecstasy and continue to refine their sound for the next album, 2019, Weeping Choir. Though many of the similar riffs and blood-curdling screaming are present, they make a few alterations to the album's electronic elements, most specifically on the amorphous, creeping synths that make up 'Rainbow'. It's an intriguing element that is ultimately diminished due to its position on the album and its length. It robs the album of its momentum.


Death metal traces are also more evident on this album, particularly in the crushing tar-thick groove of Gnawed Flesh and the epic, doom powerviolence dirge of At The Bottom of the Cauldron. This album marks a break from their previous releases that were heavily influenced by crust, hardcore and powerviolence.


Suffocating Hallucination is the band's most eerie album. Both bands are skilled in creating eerie atmospheres and their dark and sombre feeling of doom is evident from beginning to end. LinguaIgnota is a guest vocalist on the album. Full Of Hell merch moaning echoes the deep chanting of a dark religious cult. She adds a new dimension to the music, but doesn't take the center stage.


The songwriting is still brutal, but the pace feels more controlled when compared to Trumpeting Ecstasy. The slower pace on the album is due to the number of songs on the album.


Full Of Hell don't shy from letting their melodramatic guitar licks or clean vocals shine despite the fact that the drumming is relentless. The album's opener 'Garden Of Burning Apparitions is a great illustration of this. The song begins by introducing a riff of noise rock with a hypnotic feedback track. It's a refreshing departure from the grim noise-rock that dominated much of the previous record and demonstrates the fact that Full Of Hell are always searching for new ways to enhance their sound.



Full Of Hell is a force in the extreme metal world. They combine elements of metal, hardcore and power electronics to redefine the dark and intense. The Weeping Choir is a powerful statement of intent from Full Of Hell, and they're set to make their presence felt on the underground. Anyone who enjoys extreme metal should add this album to their collection.
