Seperti namanya, Calming Draught berarti digunakan untuk menenangkan. Biasanya, ramuan ini digunakan untuk menenangkan orang yang baru saja menderita shock, trauma, atau ledakan emosi.

Ramuan ini hanya boleh diminum dalam satu porsi saat satu waktu, atau jika berlebihan akan berakibat tertidur selama seminggu.
Bahan - Bahan (Magical Drafts & Potions)
- Lima cangkir air
- Satu Jumput Scurvy-Grass
- Satu cangkir moonstone
- Tiga Tetes Belladonna
- 1/4 hasil tumbukan dari akar jahe
- Peppermint
Cara membuat:
- Tambahkan air kedalam kuali yang diatas api panas lalu didihkan
- Campurkan Moonstone, aduk sampai larut
- Tambahkan tumbukan akar jahe, Satu jumput Scurvy-Grass dan Peppermint
- Kecilkan api lalu biarkan mendidih selama 30menit, aduk setiap 10menit
- Tambahkan belladonna hingga ramuan berwarna kuning
- Angkat kuali dari api lalu biarkan di ruangan terbuka selama 15menit
- Bagi ramuan menjadi lima botol ramuan untuk disimpan di sebuah ruangan ber-temperatur.
Ramuan harus berwarna kuning terang, warna selain itu dianggap gagal.
Ramuan ini harus disimpan selama 6 bulan di ruangan ber-temperatur. Lebih dari 6 bulan, ramuan ini harus dibuang untuk menghindari efek samping.
