Just over an hour ago Just over an hour ago, the EVE Online login and website servers stopped responding and went offline. A Twitter user who claims to be the culprit for the major PSN downtime earlier in the month has claimed credit for the EVE server's failure. According to the user, the DDOS is part of a string of attacks today that has also shut down the Minecraft login servers as well as The Escapist magazine's website.
CCP issued an update on Facebook and Twitter saying that the issue is under investigation. "EVE Online, as well as related services, are currently down. We will return when we can after an investigation into some issues." CCP was unable to provide further information on the outage but urges players to watch the EVE Twitter and Facebook feeds for updates as they become available.
