RISING made a Soundsystem Culture Showdown to celebrate the release of their 7" Heavy Congress. The final competition will be between the top ten soundsystem groups in the world. In each round, a unique dubs are played to the audience. The crowd's response determines the winner. Each team will put high-tech sound systems on an arena.





A variety of guest artists will perform at the showdown. The host will be DJ Blass and the legendary duo Luny Tunes. The concept behind the competition is cross-genre exploration, and is influenced in part by the culture of Jamaican sound systems. The event is scheduled to take place on the 24th of June in The Shrine Expo Hall in downtown Los Angeles. This event is certain to be a hotspot for celebrity appearances.





This competition will showcase the best sounds from the Latinx diaspora. Each team will play four rounds. The public will decide on the winner.
