Theo People, tài tử Jamie Foxx lần đầu lên tiếng trên mạng xã hội sau 3 tuần nhập viện vì bệnh nặng.
Vào thứ tư (3/5), chủ nhân giải Oscar gửi tới người hâm mộ thông qua trang cá nhân :" Trân trọng tất cả sự yêu thương của mọi người, cảm thấy thật may mắn". Anh cũng gửi lời cảm ơn tới Nick Cannon vì đã thay vị trí dẫn chương trình Beat Shazam trong lúc nam diễn viên trị bệnh.
Con gái của Jamie Foxx cũng chia sẻ lại bài đăng với dòng trạng thái :"Cảm ơn tình cảm của mọi người".
Ngày 12/4, con gái nam diễn viên, Corinne Foxx, thông báo cha cô gặp biến chứng nhưng không tiết lộ cụ thể tình trạng bệnh. Thời điểm đó, tài tử đang ở Atlanta quay bộ phim Back in Action. Dự án có sự tham gia của Cameron Diaz và Glenn Close và do Seth Gordon làm đạo diễn.

Jamie Foxx được nhìn thấy quay phim lần cuối vào ngày 10/4. Do tài tử phải nhập viện, hai diễn viên đóng thế đã thay chỗ cho Foxx trong một số cảnh quay.
