The NESC demands that electrical equipment be kept at a specific distance from other structures such as pools or houses. This is because electricity can be a significant risk for those who are not aware of its presence , or who do not adhere to the distances that are required.
When planning an installation, it's important to consider the type of conductor and wiring technique that will be used along with the materials and methods for protecting those wires. NESC provides a variety of protection options, including wire coverings and industrial cable protectors, which are designed to protect against moisture, heat, and dust.
This is particularly important to keep in mind when working with cables that could be exposed on sidewalls and ceiling surfaces. Be aware of this and it will help ensure the safety of your employees and customers and also others working in the building at any time.

National Electrical Testing Laboratory (NETL)

Canadian Electrical Code
The Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) is the standard reference document for the installation maintenance, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment. eicr certificates is a standard for electricians manufacturing professionals, construction experts and mechanical and electrical engineers in the industry.
It is a voluntary code that is adopted and ratified with or without amendments by regulatory authorities in each province or territory. The code is published every three years and is revised to reflect local conditions.

These standards are listed in Appendix A to the Code.
