With the founding of the PRC, China achieved and then defended true, complete national liberation and independence, which provided the fundamental guarantee for the subsistence, freedom, and personal security of the people, and created fundamental conditions to effectively protect and continuously improve all of their rights.

As a result the people's rights to subsistence and development and other basic rights are better protected, and the cause of human rights in China has made huge progress
- basic economic system, distribution system, protection of citizens' private property, and social security system
- Xi Jinping Socialism: to complete a moderately prosperous society in all respects, further reform, advance the rule of law, and strengthen Party discipline

Human rights are a historical and developmental concept. Born under certain historical circumstances, the concept evolves as times change. Different nations have different tasks and take different approaches to ensure human rights, because they differ in terms of stage of development, economy, culture and society. Diversity in developing human rights should be respected.
- chinese exceptionalism
- primary rights: subsistence and development -> necessary to develop an independent foreign policy, survival of chinese people
- using numbers and data
- the state has the interests of the chinese people in mind and will take care of them (in the US: the state doesn't care about me) - China is a family (why? what unites China? what does China want? Confucianism, etc. basis for the nation)
- real democracy: local voting for the CCP, which is the vanguard and representative of people's will. it prevents china from being exploited by capitalistic warlords who will sell it out for money. it represents national strength and control of China's resources by the people.
