We decided to do two battens close together in a pattern, and I'm in LOVE with how it came together! The paint color we used is Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams and it's such a pretty color. Paint your board and batten in a beachy shade and it will feel as though you have brought the ocean indoors. Finish off the look with a coral accent, framed beach photo, and wicker storage bins. The room is painted an airy Swiss Coffee in matte from Benjamin Moore's Aura line and the breezy window treatments were fabricated by The Shade Store. An antique needlepoint sofa is slipcovered in a cool ocean-blue linen. The biggest change was the addition of the great room, which extends off the back of the house onto the pool and outdoor dining room. It has such a moody + magical design, and the half-sun almost looks like a rad headboard when styled behind your bed! I don't love that they hide the beautiful bed frame, but it works best for us. Beachy painting can come in a variety of colors and shapes.
