Boba Fett Costume - How to Create the perfect Boba Fett Costume
Boba Fett is a Star Wars fan favorite. The character with no face, first seen in 1978's Holiday Special, is a fierce warrior who doesn't speak. Boba is a clone of Jango Fett who was used as the model for Republic's clone armies during the Clone Wars is an intergalactic warrior with a distinctive look. From his hunchback helmet and armor to his brown gloves and knee pads, Boba has a unique appearance. Prop makers have reproduced most of the armor worn by the character, but there are some parts that they've not been able to replicate. One such piece is the neck wrap which is tightly cinched around Fett's neck. According to the 501st Legion the group that is dedicated to creating authentic costumes for Star Wars fans, the neck wrap was made of black wool, and was connected to Fett's chest armor with a yellow and red belt.


visit my website notes that the back part of Fett's jacket was the horse girth of mohair (for the attachment of saddles) that was white-painted to fit his chest armor, and then turned into a holster that could be used for his pistol. The back of Fett's vest consisted of an unisex long-sleeved t-shirt and pants which could have also been made from cotton, polyester, or some other fabric. The 501st Legion also recommends a leather holster to those who are unable to construct an individual system.



The 501st Legion suggested a pair brown boots and a dark-blue wig to complete the look. The most difficult part to recreate, however, was the helmet. The helmet is what makes Fett stand out in a crowd. But it is not an easy thing to replicate. Several prop makers have come out with models of the famous helmet, but it's the responsibility of costumers to repaint them according to the film's rendition of Fett. There are tutorials and guides which show you how to repaint the helmet. Some prop makers also offer it to those who do not want to tackle the task.
