How does natural selection work?
Natural selection is a natural process that causes evolution over time. This mechanism implies only individuals with traits that represent an advantage for survival and reproduction will prevail over time, which causes the traits of these individuals to become dominant.

For example, if in a population of deer male deer with big antlers are more likely to survive and reproduce, it is expected after some generations this trait is dominant.

When in higher altitudes, ticker blond has a tendency to cause problems like heart attack's, however the Tibetans have adapted to the high altitudes and this has made their blood thinner in order to keep them safe in the altitudes, including that it has low oxygen rates in the altitude therefore providing more oxygen in the bloods cells.

Natural selection is a process that leads to evolution. For example variation can lead to this. Say back then one giraffe had a long neck this variation had a chance of being passed down to their children. If it keeps getting passed down by natural selection because its helping the giraffe survive then more and more giraffes will have long necks. Over time if the trait is super beneficial it could lead to the evolution of all giraffes having a long neck.

I am studying the missing link between a Pikachu and a Raichu (Pokemon). It looks like there is a link between them because they have the same element of electricity. They also have similar features such as their cheeks and their tails. This tells me that they are connected because of evolution. Pikachu can be evolved into Raichu proving that their link is clearly there.
