Keeping Wedding Guests Entertained
Your big day is a wedding day revolving around you. Your very best family and friends will gather to celebrate a particular occasion that you experienced. While a wedding can be your special day, don't make the error of not entertaining your guests. Folks forget that while a marriage takes place between two people, the wedding itself is celebrated with potentially a huge selection of people. As you attempt to plan your wedding, don't omit the point that your guests want to have a good time as much as you do. That said, here are some ideas to keeping your wedding guests entertained.

First and foremost, it's common to really have the groom and bride walk around through the wedding reception among meals. I'll even go as far as saying 'don't plan on eating that much during the actually wedding reception'. Why? Should you have a marriage of 100 people, I would recommend planning on spending time with each individual for typically two minutes. After all, these people traveled from around to celebrate your personal day. Plans were placed on hold, and weekends were arranged around their plans specifically for you. Selfish? Not necessarily... it's a wedding! They'll have a great time. However, not talking to every single guest makes it look like you don't appreciate the truth that they arrived. 2 minutes per person for 100 people seems like a lot, but it isn't. Actually it's fun for both you and your guests. This is probably the easiest method to give your guests a sense of entertainment... it'll put a smile on their face after speaking with them!

Second, all wedding receptions have music. When deciding if you want a band or perhaps a DJ, think about the folks coming to your wedding, along with your budget as well as your personal preference. The reason I elect to put your personal preference behind your guests is simple: if you enjoy rap and R&B, but half of your wedding guests are in their 60s, your guests won't have as much fun as you. A group of unhappy adults mixed in with your friends from college doesn't make for a great night. Mix up the music to fit your tastes, but remember what the group wants all together. Finally - give your guests something to accomplish while they eat. The entire night, everyone is talking. Give your guests a chance to eat the food you've paid good money for. As a recommendation, play a slide show of photos of the groom and bride, friends and family. If done well, it gives folks reasonable to be quiet and eat, laugh, and even be presented. Make an effort to include as many wedding guests in the slide show as possible. While it's impossible to include everyone, it's fun watching your guests a reaction to you showing a picture to everyone of a funny or embarrassing moment that you've shared.
