Hücrelerin bölünebilmesi için belirli bir büyüklüğe ulaşması gerekmektedir.
Hücre bölünmesi mitoz ve mayoz olmak üzere iki çeşittir.
Mitoz Bölünmenin Özellikleri
Mitoz bölünme vücut hücrelerinde görülür.
Tek hücreli canlılarda mitoz ile bölünerek çoğalır.
Döllenme ile meydana gelen zigot, yaşam boyunca mitoz bölünme geçirerek çoğalır.
Mitoz bölünmede çekirdek ve sitoplazma bir kez bölünür.
2n (Diploid) hücreden, 2n kromozomlu hücreler oluşur. (Kromozom sayısı değişmez.)
Bir hücreden iki hücre oluşur.
Oluşan hücrelerin kalıtsal yapısı değişmez.
Mitoz bölünme ile kalıtsal çeşitlilik sağlanmaz.
Mitoz bölünme ile kalıtsal devamlılık sağlanır. (Aynı kalıtsal madde aktarılır.)
Mitoz bölünme ile oluşan yavru hücrelerde sitoplazma miktarı farklı olabilir.
Mitoz bölünme ile oluşan yavru hücrelerde organel sayısı farklı olabilir.
Mitoz bölünme ile oluşan yavru hücrelerde organel çeşidi aynıdır.
Mitoz bölünmede tetrat oluşumu, krossing over (Parça değişimi) görülmez.
Sinir hücresi, çizgili kas hücresi, olgunlaşmış alyuvar hücresi ve üreme hücreleri (Yumurta, sperm, polen) mitoz bölünme geçirmez.
B- Mayoz Bölünmenin Özellikleri
Eşey ana hücrelerinde görülür.(Yumurta ve sperm ana hücresi)
Üreme hücresi (gamet) oluşur.
Hayvanlarda sperm ve yumurta hücresi, bitkilerde yumurta ve polen oluşur.
Mayoz bölünme geçiren hücre, bir daha bölünemez.
Mayoz 1 ve mayoz 2 olmak üzere iki aşamadan meydana gelir.
Mayoz 1 de kromozom sayısı yarıya iner, mayoz 2 de kardeş kromotitler birbirinden ayrılır.
Mayoz bölünme sonucu 4 yavru hücre oluşur.
Kromozom sayısı yarıya iner. (2n kromozomda n kromozomlu hücreler oluşur.)
Mayoz 1 de parça değişimi olayı görülür. Parça değişimi ile kalıtsal çeşitlilik oluşur.
Mayoz bölünme ile kromozom sayısı sabit kalır.
Eşeyli üremenin temelini oluşturur.
