Grinch Merch
The Grinch is an adorable furry pear-shaped creature with an empathetic attitude, is a resident of the high cliffs that overlook Whoville. The Grinch is not a fan of Christmas and does his best to stop it.





The Grinch is a lonely, grumpy man with an "two-size too small" heart. He's been irritated for over 50 years with the raucous festivities of Christmastime in Whoville.





Who is the Grinch?





The Grinch is a grumpy character who is averse to Christmas in all its forms. The Grinch is a descendant of Ebenezer Scrooge, a character from Charles Dickens 1843 novella A Christmas Carol.





He is a grumpy, cantankerous person who is averse to everything Christmas. His naivety leads him to attempt to stop the celebrations in Whoville. He eventually transforms to become a Christmas cheerleader.





Each adaptation has made the story come to life in a unique manner. Certain are more well-known than others.






Chuck Jones' 1966 TV special helped the Grinch become a character that the viewers could identify with. Max, the dog from the Grinch, was a prominent character. The show also included songs. The Grinch also got the Grinch his iconic green hue.





Who's Whoville?





Whoville is an imaginary city that is based on Horton Hears a Who. The fictional town of Whoville is based upon Horton Hears a Who! Both stories contain the same theme, however with some variations.





In both versions, the Whos are microscopic, furry human/leporid/kangaroo hybrid creatures who live in shaped houses and celebrate Christmas as a religion. The Whos are very flexible and robust. They are also able to withstand destruction with no known injuries.





The balance they possess is something humans be unable to attain. This is evident by the agility of Mayor Ned McDodd and JoJo, who broke the sound barrier of the dust particles.





Augustus May Who, played by Jeffrey Tambor in the live-action film, is the Mayor of Whoville. He's portrayed as a cocky, arrogant man who believes that he is the only Who that is worth listening to.





Who's Whoville is located in Orlando?





Universal Orlando Resort has a theme park with Whoville, a fictional town that is featured in the Christmas classic The Grinch Stole Christmas. The Grinch as well as other characters from Whoville are available throughout the theme park.





The Grinch is also a part of Grinchmas that takes place each year in Universal's Islands of Adventure. The event, which runs for over a month, includes the classic holiday retelling of the well-known novel, accompanied by music performed by Mannheim Steamroller. It also features the Macy's Holiday Parade.





There is also an actual performance on the sound stages at Universal. It's an addition to the main event. The fans of the original show will be delighted by the new cast and the songs that provide an entirely new angle to the tale.





Be sure to arrive early for the best seats at this must-see holiday show. The Grinch's heart will expand three times as you follow the instructions of the Team Members to your seat.





Who's Whoville is located at Universal?





The charming town of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch stole Christmas is now part of Universal's Islands of Adventure.





Seuss Landing changes into Who-ville over the holiday season. The characters from the film are seen in the park to pose for photographs during the holidays. Max the dog, however, isn't the only one to be a fan. There are other Whos.





The Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular is a heartwarming tale of the Grinch trying to take Christmas away. This is a show that you must not miss while you visit Islands of Adventure!
