Notes

i had a dream when i was younger. i must of been in the ocean because i remember the exact of shade of blue. it was a light blue not light enough to be a pool. dark enough to know it was an ocean. i remember i saw the sun. it wasn't too far. i was swimming up towards the sun ready for a fresh breath of air. I kept swimming and swimming. The sun stopped getting closer. i needed air. i began to panic. i swam faster. i was losing consciousness. my lungs began to burn from the lack of oxygen. I remember waking up gasping for air. my body was covered with sweat. i thought at the time it was only a bad dream. i understand now.
his eyes are the same blue as the ocean was.
i was lost in them.
the sun was his soul.
unreachable.
i think the air represented how i will always need myself. i had no air. i lost myself.
when i think about the burning of the lungs. i think about what i do today to take away the pain.
maybe it wasn't the fact that the sun did not get any closer. it was how the ocean is so big and you get distracted by its beauty. how it can cause so much damage. also how it is so calm and peaceful. the ocean will never be tamed.
