The Expanse series is an incredible series that has one of the most captivating sci-fi adventures ever. Each episode of the Amazon series was a delight to watch due to its immense scale and speedy finales.


The unfortunate reality is that Season 6 of the series has brought an end to everything that was great about the show. theexpansemerch 's not that the last season isn't worth watching but it's just not the same level of grandeur as The Expanse cultivated throughout its period of.



The Expanse's initial five seasons were successful in conveying the wonder of space. However it didn't have the time or resources to explore every detail of the solar system. Instead it relied on propulsive movements to push its narrative. It was more of a war story than an in-depth exploration of the universe James S. A. Corey created.


The writers are adept at building a world and defining the motives of their characters. It's hard to criticize their work. But too often, they drop that in favor of lazy backroom sex scenes for Filip or a blink-and-you-miss-it apology from Holden.


Gravity is another thing that makes this series stand out from other science fiction shows. Gravity is a key factor in the show and could become a terrifying experience if it's not handled properly. The show is trying to illustrate how difficult it is to traverse space, whether it's in a reverse of gravity or a claustrophobic environment.


When characters are made to make difficult choices the best scenes of the show come. This episode is a great illustration of how science-fiction can create a sense of grandeur without seeming overextended or rushed.


It's an impressive feat for any kind of genre, but especially remarkable when you consider how often other sci-fi shows - and even some of its competitors to be going the opposite direction.



It's difficult to ignore the reality that Earth is at war with the Belter nations , over whose colony planet has The Expanse. The most recent episode, "The Azure Dragon," is not an exception to this policy, as the Rocinante crew along with their comrades must fight the Earth-based mining company and its hard-assed security chief in order to get control of a colony world called Ilus.


Despite that, the series is still one of the finest examples of a war-story that has never quite been done properly. The writing nimbly navigates the story through each battle, but it doesn't have the time to fully explore all the intricacies of these factions the goals.
