When someone you dearly loved dies, that could be the hardest heartbreak you may have in life. We know that everyone of us will pass away and the only thing we should do when someone we love died is to move on with our life.


By recognizing that death has the capability to stretch out its arm and tap you on the shoulder to let you know that the final day has come, you will always be aware that time is fleeting. Like the shadow that mirrors your every footstep, the entity of death is like the shadow in each day. But, if you embrace death as a friend or respected acquaintance, it will be your reminder to live life fully. No one encourages death, but by understanding that it will come to each of us, we can learn to make better decisions in life; decisions to feel proud of. Acknowledge its existence as a reminder to strive for optimum happiness each day.

To explain: the Jewish mentality two thousand years ago, and quite possibly still today, emphasised the importance of family, and especially valued its spread and prosperity - 'go forth and multiply'. In particular, God's blessing was directly linked to the growth of the family, and happy the man who had many offspring, and of course, importantly, many sons. Plenty sons were the clearest indicator that the family name would continue and prosper. This poor woman had suffered a compound tragedy and was doubly cursed (by God): her husband being dead, she could have no more sons, and now her only son had died, meaning that her family line was finished. Her life was as good as over. God had abandoned her - total disaster, with no hope of any resolution.



The Vikings (1958-Not Rated) stars Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis as two brawling Viking half-brothers. This grand costume drama ended with the Viking funeral that became idealized in popular culture. "Prepare a funeral for a Viking," Tony Curtis intones after the mano-a-mano fight that leaves Kirk Douglas dead.

First, let us look at death. I know it is an unpleasant subject. But unless you look death in the eye and deny its power over you, it will destroy meaning and happiness. Persons have been investigating Near Death Experiences (NDE) for many decades.

It is heart wrenching to watch the fear cross a loved ones face if they have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. The tragedy is compounded, because again the little time that they have left is spent in fear of drawing their last breath.

This desert lies over 2 states, California and Nevada. The area became "National Park" in 1994 under Bill Clinton administration. It is now under Federal Management. The desert is desolate. It keeps some beauty. The beauty is almost noble. Maybe this impression came from the nature, which does not allow people to survive. The scenery amazes visitors. It is breath-taking. Still, when the bus started to move out from the valley, visitors could feel relieved.
