The world is grappling with AIDS at epidemic proportions. Every year thousands of people get infect with HIV/AIDS and several thousands succumb to the disease. Empathy is the feeling most needed to understand the difficulties of others. It is the power to enter into another's personality to understand their sufferings and helping them to solve it. Once we develop empathy we will solve others' sorrows and ours will automatically vanish.

When sending flowers, there are two places to consider. The first is the funeral home or church where the service will take place. The flowers you send here will be on display at the viewing and/or funeral. The family member(s) that you send the flowers to will then have a chance to bring them home after the service. The second place to send flowers is the home residence of the family, whomever you are closest with that is related to the deceased. This could be a son, a mother, a husband, a niece, etc. Some prefer this method if they did not know the deceased person well but they wish to show their sympathy to the family member that they are friends, neighbors, or coworkers with.

Let them talk and or react and then let them know that it's OK to feel sad or confused or whatever it is that they may be feeling. They just want and need to be heard! Suggesting that they go to their room to cry or figure it all out tells them to "grieve alone". That just isolates them and adds to the confusion, and most importantly, reinforces that it's not OK or safe to talk about any of this.



Include your unconditional thoughts and happy times of how you felt, so those who share the message from death with you understand what love meant to you. Explain your love word by word with emotion and conviction. Love is a universal language and your message is a way to carry tons of love and happiness through each sentence.
