When someone you dearly loved dies, that could be the hardest heartbreak you may have in life. We know that everyone of us will pass away and the only thing we should do when someone we love died is to move on with our life.

The next six months were a struggle unlike anything Rosie could have imagined. The pain of getting clean, trying to accept and cope with her husband's horrible death at such a young age, and the worry in her daughter's pretty little eyes made for a horrendously difficult time. Yet, even though the struggle was great, she had made a commitment to herself that day she called her mother, and she had decided at that moment that nothing would keep her from getting clean, taking back her life, and being there for her daughter. She refused to let anything deter her, and though she would cry with pain and frustration, and sometimes suffer bouts of anger over losing Mark, she managed to pull through. Alice was a blessing. Her open and honest unconditional love gave Rosie some of the focus she needed.

"Honey, Miss Kitty died last night. She's probably gone up to sit on Grandma's lap and keep her company." Give some time for the initial words to sink in and be prepared for whatever reaction. Most children can handle the word "died" much better than we give them credit for. By all means, you can put forward any religious belief you wish, but take the mystery out of it for the child and tell them the truth. Kids appreciate the truth. They need to know they can trust you, especially in times of crisis.

Think about what other options you have. Aside from sprays, you can always order bouquets, live plants and wreaths to be sent during the viewing or for the funeral service.


Having reached my sixties, death is becoming a more and more familiar companion - it is no longer something that happens to grandparents or parents - it is now something that often happens to peers. A surprising number of my friends have also lost children to various calamities.

The leaders are successful because they developed and implemented a strategic plan that was specifically designed for their local market. It may be an excellent plan but it will still have be customized in order to be successful in your market.



Empathy is the feeling most needed to understand the difficulties of others. It is the power to enter into another's personality to understand their sufferings and helping them to solve it. Once we develop empathy we will solve others' sorrows and ours will automatically vanish.

Sometimes an older person will purchase coverage for themselves. Other times, adult children or other relatives will pay for the policy as a way to plan for burial costs.
