The Nature of Alcohol Point of Sale Promotions
Whether you own or run an alcohol point of sale, you know how important it is to keep your products fresh. The best way to do this is to invest in high-quality, re-usable, dis pos able packaging. This allows you to offer fresh drinks every time your customer walks in.
Promotions

POS marketing has become a popular way to promote alcohol brands. In fact, studies have shown that consumers are more likely to buy a brand of alcohol when they see advertising promoting it at the point of sale. However, it's important to consider whether point of sale promotions are effective, as well as how they affect young drinkers. This study looked at the nature of point of sale alcohol promotions in bottle shops in two Australian capital cities.

POS promotions can be divided into two main categories: off premise and on premise. Off premise promotions are products purchased for home consumption, while on premise promotions are alcohol products purchased in stores.

Promotions can be multi-purchase, which allows customers to take advantage of a discount across a range of items. The most common promotion is a mix and match deal, which includes discounts on a selected group of items, such as beer and wine.
Inventory management

Whether you own a single store or own several stores, having an inventory management system for your alcohol point of sale (POS) can help you get more out of your business. It helps you better manage your inventory and ensure a smoother cash flow. In addition to tracking inventory, a POS system can provide you with information on employee management, discounts and promotions, and customer reward programs.

A liquor store POS system can help you stay in compliance with state and federal laws. Many liquor stores are required to purchase large quantities of alcohol. This is a big financial commitment, and you need to be sure that you're buying the right amount. It's also important to remember that liquor regulations vary from state to state.
Sales analytics

Using on-premise point of sale (POS) data analytics helps liquor retailers make better decisions. This can be especially important in this competitive industry. These systems can provide real-time data on sales, pricing, and trends. By understanding this information, liquor stores can increase their profitability. They can also identify areas for improvement.

Modern POS systems provide comprehensive, integrated sales analytics that help retailers create seamless, omni-channel experiences. They also enable the creation of rich customer profiles. This helps liquor retailers create personalized recommendations for their customers, as well as reorder notifications.

Using POS data, retailers can find out which products are selling, which items aren't selling, and which items should be re-stocked. They can also find out the best price point for a given product. This helps retailers negotiate better prices, as well as create more profitable promotions.
Off-premise retail vs on-premise retail

Using the average off-premise store as a benchmark, we studied the alleged merits of an on-premise establishment. The results are presented in a table that focuses on key performance indicators, or KPIs. We tested two major types of on-premise establishments. The first is the type that serves alcohol for on-site consumption, while the second is more of a foodservice venue. A third type is a combination of the two. This group is made up of retailers, such as grocery stores, drug stores, and liquor stores. A fourth type of on-premise establishment is a restaurant or a hotel. In terms of demographics, the off-premises triumvirate are comprised of white, black, and Asian Americans.

There are a number of reasons to consider the off-premises as a viable option. For one, they are a lot more streamlined. For another, off-premises have an array of cost-saving measures, from age verification devices to written policies against selling to minors.
SLGA's Serve It Right Saskatchewan server intervention program

SLGA's Server Intervention Program is designed to help reduce the risk of violence and underage drinking. It is supported by the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council (STEC) and the Ministry of Health. The program provides training for staff and commercial permittees to help ensure alcohol-related activities are conducted responsibly.

All employees of liquor-permitted establishments are required to take SIRS training. This training covers legal responsibilities, overserving, and the legal and practical issues associated with serving alcohol to minors. This training is valid for five years.

New hires must complete SIRS training before they start their first shift. Managers and owners of liquor-permitted establishments must complete the training within 30 days of their start date. All employees serving alcohol must complete the program before their renewal of their liquor permit is finalized.
