GENESIS 15
When we read verse 1, we get to understand that the word to God command us not to fear. The bible says the word of God came to Abraham in vision and told him not to fear. This simply tell us that God can talk to us in different ways and we must be filled with his Holy Spirit to hear him. God always speaks to us but we fail to hear him because we are very ignorant. John 1:1 says at the beginning there was the word, the word was with God and the word was God. Meaning God came to Abram himself and the word of God says " I am your shield, your reward". The bible (the word of GOD) IS our shield. If we know God (the word) meaning we are covered and we are safe. question; WHY DID ABRAM CUT THESE ANIMALS INTO HALF? As we continue to read we understand that God sees the one who see him. The sign of circumcision shows the covernant between God and Abram. man's sin needs to be cleanesed not to go to other generations. Verse 5 on chapter 17, the Lord change Abram's name to Abraham for he shall be called the father of the nations. When we continue reading the bible we understand that GOD is a covernant keeping God. He changed Sarai's name (wife of Abram-ABRAHAM) TO Sarah. When we read chapter18 verse 2 we understand that Abraham saw 3 men and bowed before them. the word of God says we must not bow before any other Gods but God alone. God is 3 in 1. He is trinity. God the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit. wHEN we read verse 14 from chapter 18 we understand that God's time is always the best. He has plans for us the plans not to harm us but the plans to make us prosper. Sarah had passed her time to bear children and she was very old but nothing is too hard for the Lord, He make the impossible possible. As we continue reading this chapter we get to understand that God can save or spare the wicked because of the righteous. An example would be if i am the only one righteous in my family God will spare my family, because i am the light of my family.
