The house of Alvaric is one with a rich and diverse history starting with her founder Commodore Fasil Alvaric first of his name who vanquished pirate leaders off his shores, earning him his title, one that would be passed down into the fourth era. The year 3E 326 saw the death of this great man and the rise of his son, Rebam who almost crippled his fathers legacy by imposing heavy taxes on his people. This man was subject to a coup led by his younger brother just ten years into his rule. Abijah who was the illegitimate son of Fasil took the throne and proved a good leader, ushering a golden age for Anvil which lasted past his and his son's reigns. Corvus Alvaric went missing well into his rule in 3E 433 but his wife fared well in his absence, leaving the throne ready for his eventual return.

Fasil II the great succeed his parents and sought to build one of the largest navies Tamriel has ever seen but was killed by his son Cyrus upon its completion. A pity since this man also succeeded in introducing the piper plant to his lands as well as opening numerous trade routs in the western waters of Tamriel and monopolizing the tyrian dye which Anvil is presently known for. His navy only saw conflict once during his rule when he and Ya'Tijiir of Senchal fought for that sea.

Cyrus still proved a competent leader in introducing a more democratic government to Anvil earning him the name Cyrus the Just. It is his sword that is passed down the Alvaric lineage to this day where it finds itself in the hands of Fasil III. His rule came to a close when he fell ill and left General Sinbad Swift-Sword his title. When Cyrus' sister Arethusa moved in from the south with an army of wood elves, Sinbad was forced into his native Hammerfell where he built a kingdom with the claim that it was he who had the right to the Gold Coast. A civil war was fought but no clear victor ever arose until the daughter of Sinbad and the son of Arethusa settled their differences in the bonds of matrimony, once again restoring the Gold Coast to the Alvaric family.
