Notes

I am a senior at Blaine High School with a part-time job and a generous amount of responsibilities at home, especially since I was born in a family of ten. I attend church every Sunday and sometimes Wednesdays when I am available. One of my permanent goals is to improve something miniscule everyday because I want to be a good person; I choose to be kind. Growing up, I've lived in different homes and different states. I was born in Minnesota, then I moved to California (twice in the same state), then Kansas (twice in the same state), and then back to Minnesota (twice in the same state). I've gone to a handful of schools and have a good amount of experiences with different people (of different backgrounds, ethnicities, social class, etc.) in various places in our country. I plan to further my education at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus and I hope to be a winner of the Page Grant so that the financial burden of attending college is lessened.

I never realized until my junior year of high school. I started noticing how people treated me because the contrast was stark. I would look at how my mom treated me and my older sister. My older sister is on her way to being a nurse, musically talented, and she is a leader. I know my mom loves me, but I know she likes my older sister better. My older sister fit into the mold my mom sculpted for her. Realizing made me reflect.
