"Member" means an individual who meets the eligibility requirements set forth above and has an Account.
"OneKeyCash" is earned as a part of the Program in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and can mean Base OneKeyCash or Bonus OneKeyCash (each of which are defined in more detail below), or a combination of both. OneKeyCash can be earned on Eligible Bookings and on Bonus OneKeyCash offers. OneKeyCash can be used on Redemption Rewards.
"Program Benefits" means the additional benefits a Member receives by being part of the Program as set out here and updated from time to time.
"Redemption Reward" means a booking through a Participating Brand that can be paid for (or partially paid for) in US dollars by the redemption of OneKeyCash by a Member in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. $1 in OneKeyCash will provide a $1 discount on a Redemption Reward.
"Tier" means either Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum tier as determined in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
"Travel Supplier" means a provider of any element of an Eligible Booking, including, but not limited to, a hotel, a short-term rental, an airline, an activity provider, a car rental agency, or a cruise company.
"Trip Elements" is a method for calculating progress towards your Tier.


Earn with One Key
With One Key, there will no longer be Expedia Rewards points or Hotels.com stamps and reward nights in the US. Instead, travelers will earn rewards for bookings in the form of OneKeyCash and will earn trip elements to progress through the tiers. As they make more bookings, they’ll climb tiers that award them a higher percentage of OneKeyCash on select bookings, as well as travel benefits like perks and discounts.
Members will automatically earn OneKeyCash and trip elements as long as they are signed into their account before booking. If they forget to sign in, you will need to manually add rewards for them, if the booking meets eligibility requirements.


Eligibility criteria
The following are ineligible for OneKeyCash and trip elements:
• Booking made before becoming a member
• Portions of the booking paid with coupons
• Portions of the booking paid with OneKeyCash are ineligible to earn OneKeyCash but are eligible to earn trip elements (provided that the element meets the $25 criteria)
• Can’t earn rewards on taxes and fees
• Insurance
• Bookings made while not signed in (or as a guest). We can add rewards manually when the traveler contacts us.
• Car rental bookings made on Hotels.com
• Hotels.com gift card purchase
• Group rate bookings—bookings made via the Groups & Meetings link on Expedia and Hotels.com
• Event tickets purchased on expedia.com/event-tickets
• Flights booked directly on an airline’s website, even if you found the flight on Expedia
• Until One Key launches worldwide, bookings made on point of sale other than US or are not booked in US dollars are ineligible.
• Vrbo bookings made before One Key launch
• Vrbo bookings that do not display earn messaging during the booking path (i.e. bookings made in USD but the Vrbo Host is paid in a non-USD).
• TAAP agent bookings made in a TAAP account. If they have a personal account, they can still earn.
• Each part of the trip must cost $25 or more (excluding taxes and fees and after any coupons) to count as a trip element. If any part of the trip cost less than $25, it can still earn OneKeyCash, but not trip elements.
Note: If the traveler did not earn rewards and the booking is eligible, you will need to manually adjust rewards. See Adjust One Key rewards.
