The Near Death Experience - Its Genuineness And Its Far Reaching Messages


Some folks think a Viking funeral would be a cool way to send off a loved one. This idealized grand gesture is totally influenced by films churned out by Hollywood studios.

This was either done with swords or other primitive weapons, eventually evolving to include the use of guns. Imagine if it was still acceptable today to fight someone to the death, because they wronged you in some way. Or perhaps you simply just don't like each other. People would be dieing left and right. The most acceptable form of killing that has stuck with us from the beginning is war fare. In this case we do not have one or two people killing but a large number of people killing each other.

We knew Grandma had prearranged her funeral prior to her death. She had given us a small laminated card that said, "Simplicity Plan, at the time of my death call." That small card soon became a major blessing.

Is list making what you did when your dog died? Sorry to bring up a sad memory in your life, but it fits. After the passing of your beloved pet, did you think about replacing Rover right away? Did you immediately sit down and list 5 attributes you wanted in a new, replacement dog? Did you create a list of cute dog names to pick from right after he closed his eyes for the last time?

Decide what to do with the body. Where will the body stay until the funeral service is held? Will the deceased be buried or cremated? If decide on a burial, you will also need to choose a casket. For a cremation, will it be at sea or will you need an urn?

Avoid bright colors; stay muted. If you don't own anything black, there's no need to panic. Many families will not be offended if you have to wear dark blue or gray. Even neutral tones are acceptable funeral etiquette. Just make certain to avoid any bright colors to the funeral. This takes attention away from the family and the deceased, which is disrespectful.


In its milder forms, depression is a "mind" game that can easily go away after a good bonding with friends or loved ones. If this does not work, consider visiting a therapist.

Once you have completed the details and signed up for your pre-need services, give a copy of the plan with the contact information to your personal representative, a close family member or one of your adult children.
