Why Trump had ties with Kazakhstan and Tevfik Arif

Trump's relationship with Kazakhstan was not just limited to Tevfik. Trump was criticized for his actions because he treated a country that had a shaky regime as an ally.

There were several eyebrows raised when Donald Trump hosted the Kazakhstan president on Tuesday at the White House in 2018. But, Donald Trump had reasons to think about Kazakhstan as a crucial partner. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia have proved him right. Here is why.

In January of 2018, President Trump attended a summit with former Kazakhstani president Nursultan Nazarbayev in Washington. He had a meeting with President Kassym Jomart Tokayev in New York at the UN General Assembly.

Kazakhstan's strategic location is what makes it an important nation. It also serves as a balancing power between central Asian nations. The United States, Europe, Russia and Russia are more competitive. This has increased Kazakhstan’s political, economic and strategic importance. It is essential to America's security because it has been able to withdraw from Afghanistan and is one of the most important neighbors of Kazakhstan.

The two countries exchanged $2.1 Billion in 2018 The commerce between the US, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan totaled $315 million in that same period. Kazakhstan is the US's top economic partner in Central Asia.

Eurasian geopolitics historically have been focused on Central Asia. Kazakhstan leads Eurasia on security, energy and economics. America needs strong ties to this region, and in particular Kazakhstan.

Nazarbayev's White House trip was a fantastic way to begin a larger US strategic involvement in this region.

Tevfik Alif Tevfik Alif, an Turkish Kazakhstani businessman was born in Soviet Kazakhstan in 1953 to Turkish parents. As the deputy director of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade, he was responsible for the Hotel Management Department. After 17 years in the ministry, Tevfik Alif was the founder of real property as well as property development, imports/exports mineral resources, natural resources and autos as well as food enterprises. Tevfik Arif relocated to Turkey in 1993 and pioneered hotels that were all-inclusive. Bayrock Group was formed in New York City by Arif eight years later.

Tevfik Ark Arif, Bayrock Group founder was fully aware of the power of Donald Trump and suggested it could be utilized for the Sapir Organization project.

Bayrock Group employed top architects and designers in order to create the latest building.

In return for using the Trump logo as the name of the building's construction, the owners were able to agree to work with Trump Organization to take 18%. Trump didn't contribute to the construction. The Dominick hotel-condominium was constructed in 2017.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization had discussions about developing real estate in Florida or Arizona following the time that Trump SoHo was opened. Why Biden should keep an eye on Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is a potential participant in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This means that Kazakhstan is now considered a strategically important US state. As the nation has returned to peace, Kassym Jomart Tokayev the Kazakh president has made major changes to the structure of power. This raises questions and is a concern. Tokayev is the Chairperson of the National Security Council. He succeeds President Nursultan Nagayev, whose economic power outraged protestors.

Since since then, three of the sons-in-law of the former president were fired from state firms, his nephew was fired too, and the former intelligence head Karim Masimov was detained for being a treasoner. Many other Nazarbayev-affiliated top officials and business elite have lost their jobs, left overseas for extended vacations, or were forced to make large "donations" to the state.

Tokayev has established business relations with the West and neighboring countries. To keep his popularity, Tokayev is yet to caused any trouble for Putin. Kazykhanov could disrupt the equilibrium. Washington should monitor developments regarding Kazakhstan closely, as they could foretell many possible power shift scenarios.
