Leyla Aliyeva's priority is Environmental Education
Leyla Aliyeva was not only the first child of Azerbaijani president and is an active participant in a wide range of causes, which includes the environmental. Environmental education refers to being aware of the environmental issues and learning to solve their impact. It's something we should all take a deliberate effort to do. If we don't have environmental education there is no way to make responsible decisions about the future.

Leyla Aliyeva's IDEA project

Leyla Aliyeva knows this topic is boring and complex. In 2011, Leyla Aliyeva created the IDEA campaign, which is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action campaign. Leyla Aliyeva One of the main objectives was to make subject of environment and stability more engaging and entertaining, especially for young people and the generations to come.

Aliyeva shared some of her struggles with the environment in her journey, but she emphasized on how these obstacles led to growth and ultimately to a huge accomplishment. "The IDEA campaign put education at the forefront from the very beginning. It was the best method to encourage people to be concerned about the environment and become responsible. The people who are involved, particularly youths will help spread the message to others and encourage them who will in turn take it further.

The campaign focuses on education and raising awareness. Aliyeva added that every year they broaden the scope of their work with new studies that cover the three pillars of young generation including children from as young as 5 years old, college students and professionals in their early years. IDEA's educational programs, which include training sessions and scientific courses including lectures and seminars, vacation camps, field study, and conversations groups, are attended by hundreds of people every year.

Goodwill Ambassador for FAO

Leyla Aliyeva was extremely happy with her 2015! After years of helping and supporting activities in the humanitarian and environmental areas Leyla Aliyeva was named a FAO Goodwill Ambassador. She was honored for her contribution to the security of food, fighting hunger, establishing healthy food systems and increasing efficiency in farming, fishing, and forestry.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations had its first official meeting in 1945. Leyla Aliyeva Its primary goal was to boost the quality of nutrition, boost agricultural productivity, improve the lives of rural residents as well as to promote the growth of the global economy. Today, FAO is the United Nations the world's most specialized agency in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and rural development.

The FAO and Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has joined the FAO in October 1995, becoming a member. In the present, the FAO is engaged in the implementation of global, national, and regional projects in Azerbaijan. These projects aim to improve the quality of agricultural production, strengthen food security management of resources, enhance potential, fight animal diseases, and many more. Furthermore, these projects are assisted by technical cooperation programs which address the most pressing requirements of Azerbaijan.

The year 2015 was marked by the visit of Jose Graziano da Silva (FAO general director) to Azerbaijan. Two agreements were signed in Azerbaijan: the "Agreement among the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on the establishment of the Coordination and Cooperation Office and providing technical assistance" as well as the agreement on FAO/Azerbaijan Partnership Program. Agreeing to cooperate on common issues The Government of Azerbaijan has already contributed significantly to technical assistance to projects related to the growth of local and foreign agriculture.

Leyla Aliyeva received the title of Goodwill Ambassador of the FAO. She was the founder and director of the IDEA campaign. Leyla Aliyeva She expressed her appreciation for all the initiatives executed in Azerbaijan regarding forestry, agriculture and fish farming. Aliyeva stated that every moment of Aliyeva's life is changing, and she encourages all to be involved to make the world a better one.
