MultiMCManage Minecraft Instances with Ease



Overview

MultiMC is a different launcher for Minecraft. It lets you have multiple, cleanly separated instances of Minecraft (each with their own mods and resource packs, saves, etc) and lets you manage them and their options with a simple and powerful interface.

Features

Manage multiple Minecraft instances while keeping them clean. You can drill down into the details, examining the logs, mods, and everything else easily. MultiMC is reliable and will perform what you tell it to do. - Fine control over Java settings and runtimes. Each instance has settings overrides that you can activate on top of the global settings. MultiMC game logs include additional information that can be used to diagnose issues and are color-coded. Support for running old versions the way they were released, instead of relying on compatibility hacks. - Eliminate Minecraft quickly if it crashes / freezes. MultiMC is extremely light, so it can run in the background. It also monitors the game even when the computer isn't as powerful. Installation is simple for all common mod loaders - Forge and Fabric as well as LiteLoader and probably more in the coming. Minecraft world and resource/texture pack management. Import and export Minecraft instances to share with anyone. Import modpacks imported from different platforms like Modrinth, CurseForge and FTB (via import from FTB App), Technic, ATLauncher and FTB old versions. The more, the merrier.

Download & Install

Select the right download for your operating system from the list below. Extract the archive into the desired folder and then open it. If you're using Linux be sure to make it executable prior to trying to run it.

MultiMC requires Qt5 to be installed on Linux. Based on the distribution you are using, you might need to install the following packages if you don't have it:



- Arch: qt5-base - OpenSuse: libqt5-qtbase - CentOS/Fedora/RHEL: qt5-qtbase - Ubuntu/Debian: libqt5core5a libqt5network5 libqt5gui5

Source Code

MultiMC is based upon the code that is hosted on GitHub. The source code isn't made available to facilitate collaboration. The only changes to the binary distribution as compared to the source code are the addition of API keys and branding required for the launcher to function, as well as packaging-related changes.
