Believing There's Life After Death, Living Full Now
Just like many other things today funeral costs have grown. That is why so many people today are now choosing to take out funeral insurance. This will help to cover the costs for their funeral service and so ensure that those they leave behind have one less thing to worry about.
One good change is my sensitivity to other people. Though I have always been a sensitive person, I am more sensitive now. My daughter's death, her appointment of my husband and me as her children's guardians, and becoming a GRG (grandparent raising grandchildren) have given me many new writing topics. These are good changes. What about the not so good?

Some people think by having life insurance that their loved ones will be fine, most people do not think about when they get older and the possibility of going into a nursing home. If this should happen, the state can make you turn in your life insurance policy if you do not have the funds to pay for your stay at the home. If you have a pre-paid funeral before you apply for Medicaid or apply to stay in a nursing home, a state law says it can not be touched. Some people will choose to pay for this all at once or set up a payment plan with the funeral home.

This nation, "conceived in liberty," has slowly been losing that liberty and, if enabled to continue on its current path, will certainly "perish from the earth" and that those that died will have died in vain. Shame on us if we let their last full measure of devotion be for a cause we are no longer willing to fight for.
By checking the will you will find out about some specific instructions. What music do they want? Do they want to be buried or cremated? Then what? Do they want something special to happen at their funeral? Be informed - check the will.

Being able to shop around. This may sound crass, but by pre-planning your funeral you can take some time to visit various funeral homes and find the place that suits you both financially as well in accommodations. Also, keep in mind that you do not have to purchase the casket and arrange the service at the same location.

"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7). And God's grace is full of riches. His grace is entirely free. God's grace is not a response of our worth because we are not worthy but only deserve wrath. Yet, God's grace is not a response of our unworthiness. God gave us grace because He chose. He loved us because He loved us.
