Minecraft Hogwarts: How to Play This Cool Minecraft Harry Potter RPG Map

Looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? If you're a fan of the huge Harry Potter Minecraft map mod that got a playable alpha release earlier this year. The mod recreates the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a huge map and RPG game within the vanilla version of Mojang's Block Builder. You can now go to Hogwarts in Minecraft for real.



This map is made available by The Floo Network, a modding group that has created this massive and impressive map. They also announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map's launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Make sure you have your wands in order! We're finally releasing our map; an interactive RPG for vanilla Minecraft!" The post also includes the unveiling of the new download trailer. The name of the game"Witchcraft and Wizardry: The Floo Network', doesn't do justice to what it brings to the game. As you can see in the video below, nearly every one of the famous features of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are represented faithfully brick-by-brick. There are images of Hogwarts' enormous labyrinthine maze of classrooms, dungeons, halls and towers, filled with a myriad of nastinesses, puzzles, and of course, magic from the series' universe. We're pretty sure there's not a Minecraft Hogwarts seed that will magically create a replica, so if you're keen to explore the halls of Hogwarts, here's how to get the most effective Minecraft Harry Potter map and get to experience the magic yourself.

How to get the Hogwarts map in Minecraft



If you're interested in diving into The Floo Network's Minecraft Hogwarts map It is available to download at Planet Minecraft. It is worth noting that Witchcraft and Wizardry are only compatible with the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).



You can't play this version if you're using the Bedrock Edition available on PC.



Harry Potter Minecraft features



You might be wondering where you can go in this Minecraft Hogwarts Map. You can explore Privet Drive, a picturesque suburb, and the entire Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. When you enter the school's rooms, you can find huge banquets filled with delicious food and candles hung as if from a fairytale. There are also hallways and staircases decorated with artwork of famous students and libraries stuffed with towering bookshelves.



It's not just a simple map because you can cast spells with your magic wand, explore the dungeons of a magical adventure, go shopping with friends in Diagon Alley, or even meet some of the amazing beasts like the Cornish Pixies or terrifying Dementors. Quidditch is also available!



The map has been updated to include a complete RPG storyline, complete with all the Harry Potter trimmings you might expect. Everything from purchasing your first wand, schoolbooks and robes at Diagon Alley, to experiencing your first flight lesson at Hogwarts. We won't give away any of the major plot surprises but we will tell you that you might need to use the Patronus Charm to protect yourself from any villains lurking in the dark.



Best of all, in Minecraft Hogwarts' grounds, you'll find the most loved half-giant, Hagrid, tending to his gamekeeping tasks. "Thank you for all your support and kind words throughout this project," the creators say on the mod's Discord server. "This map took us a number of years to complete and without your love and support, we would not have been able to make it this far." We are delighted to present the final map to you!
