The company has to pay a civil penalty and educate its employees on how to comply with U.S.C. Section 1324b, and be subject to Department of Labor monitoring over 3 years.

IER and MJFT Hotels of Flushing LLC reached an agreement on the 7th of November on the 7th of November. This settlement was to settle a complaint that IER discriminated against a worker who was authorized to work in the United States in its hiring process. The settlement demands that MJFT pay a civil penalty and instruct the relevant employees about 8 U.S.C. Section 1324b.
