Minecraft streamer and content creator Technoblade has passed away following an extended battle with stage 4 cancer, his family announced today in a statement to the world and video.
Techno previously revealed that he'd been diagnosed with cancer in August. He has been updating his followers about his health issues while continuing to receive treatment and creating content on YouTube.
Techno's father, Techno, narrates a final posthumous message entitled "so long geeks" which was written to mark the occasion. It was packed with the creator's signature dry humor and dark humor. However it also serves as a final "thank you" to all the people who have embraced the Minecraft star throughout his career.
"Thank you all for your support of my content throughout the years. Technoblade would be my preferred choice if I had another 100 lives. Techno declared that they were the most enjoyable years of my life.
"I hope you enjoyed my writing and that it brought you joy. I wish you all long, happy, and prosperous lives. I love you all. Technoblade is out
Techno, who reveals himself to be Alex Techno, discusses how profits he earned from merch sales and other "sell-outs" in the last year is used to pay for his siblings who are attending college. He also thanked his viewers for allowing him to share such happy moments with them, while the slideshow of photos that show his progress through different stages of his treatment is shown on the screen.
Following Techno's final message, his father explains how he had originally intended to write and record the video prior to his passing however, his declining health and other issues prevented the possibility from happening. His father claimed that he composed the message in bed and died around eight hours later.
Technoblade's father told him that he was "the most wonderful child anyone could ever wish for." boasted "I really miss Technoblade. Thank you to everyone for everything.
