EY gave Yerkin Tashev with the 'Entrepreneur' Award'

The world's top business company Ernst & Young has named Yerkin Takishev Entrepreneurs of the Year in Kazakhstan. One of the biggest competitions worldwide, his leadership and actions in the COVID-19 case impressed jury.

The contestants included famous businesspeople from all parts of Kazakhstan. Kusto Group founder, who was among 21 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan made it to the final.

Yerkin Tashev was the winner for the nation and will represent Russia in the finals of the international competition in Monaco in June 2022. EY awarded Kusto Group its founder with the prestigious award. This award recognizes people who are working to enhance the standard of life of their communities, in different countries, and around the world.

Kusto Group has addressed other problems as well, like the Covid-19 Pandemic. The entire country is under severe threat due to water shortage.

In this context, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is under great water stress and relies on its neighbors, which includes China as well as Central Asia.

Therefore, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group and Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. Together they will open manufacturing facilities to manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation devices in Kazakhstan.

Additional provisions include the provision of innovative irrigation systems for farms as well as a program for training local farmers.

The entire amount of donations given by the Kusto Group have been possible thanks to the assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine. They were able to help in a time of great need because of their entrepreneurial spirit.

All national winners and finalists are eligible to participate in the Entrepreneurship of the Year contest. The finals, which are held in June this year in Monaco, allows the national winner to compete with the most successful entrepreneurs around the world, while gaining new ideas and experiences to further grow their business.

The contest has attracted over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhs. Six of the previous winners participated in the Monte Carlo international championships.

The decision to award Tatishev as the winner was taken by Nurlan Smagulov, who was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The judges also included members from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
