Wat Pho type 33 is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok and is the home to a 46 meters long gold plated Reclining Buddha image. It is also where you will find the famous 108 bronze bowls of the Buddha statues.

Broth - This is the most important part of the pho recipe and is made from roasted beef bones which are infused with spices such as cinnamon, star anise, coriander and cardamom. The mixture is then boiled and simmered to create a flavorful broth.

Charring of the onion and ginger is a very important part in the process as this provides a subtle smokey flavour to the soup. This is a key element in the pho flavour and can be done at home using a grill or on a baking tray under the broiler.

Once you have charred your ingredients you will then need to add the rest of the ingredients including the stock and water. ยาหอมวัดโพธิ์ can either boil the ingredients to create the soup or you can let them simmer for a while which will also help to break up the meat and give the broth more depth of flavour.

A good pho broth will be made with a blend of herbs and spices, such as cinnamon, star anise and coriander seeds. It will also include fish sauce which is a fermented mixture of fish, krill and anchovies that gives the broth a salty taste with a slightly sweet note.

The meat that you use in the pho is an essential part of the dish and there are many different types to choose from such as rare steak (pho tai), brisket, tripe and chickpeas. You can also add vegetables such as bean sprouts and basil leaves if you want to.
