There are many different types of heroes; some are considered heroes for bravery, others for courage, some for outstanding achievements, and some even for nothing more than their amazing qualities. When told to choose someone to write a hero essay about, i started thinking about people that i really admire. Two people came to my mind. These two people, a duo of sorts, are known on Youtube as Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil, or Dan Howell and Phil Lester. While on the surface, these two may seem like nothing more than youtube stars, Dan and Phil are, in their own way, heroes. They influence millions of people's lives in positive ways daily, and are by far some of the most credible people to present content on Youtube.
To start, Phil Lester graduated from York University with a degree in English Language and Linguistics, as well as an MA in Post-Production and Visual Effects. Around the same time, Dan Howell had dropped out of The University of Manchester in late 2012. At the time, he was on a LLB Law degree. The reason i bring this up is that soon after their departure from university, they met each other and decided to live together. This made it very convenient for the two of them, as after two years of their video making, they were offered their very own radio show on BBC Radio One. I find this to be inspiring, because they get to do what they love, and soon were recognized for their talent. Also, they each have experience in a university, Phil having a degree and an MA!
Next, i'd like to say how they are heroes to not only me, but my best friend, Stephanie. She has looked up to Dan and Phil for years before i'd even known her. She loves them lots, and she looks up to them because of them being a duo who became popular through funny video content. Stephanie and I make videos together. We see the two as heroes because they got famous doing what we love to do; make people happy through their videos. The way that they stitch their videos together, making them seem almost effortlessly casual, is a skill that takes most people many years to master... It is also a skill that Stephanie happens to be very good at. Together, we try to do the same sort of process
