The organisation conducted a survey of 10,582 travellers in 24 regions across the UK, Germany, France and Spain which revealed that we now have vastly diverging attitudes towards swine flu, as British medical health insurance customers are much less cautious about the chance posed by the herpes virus.
Just seven per cent of Brits said they will change their travel plans because of it, in comparison to 21 per cent of Spaniards, 15 % of Germans and 14 per cent of French, the report revealed.
Sharron Livingston, editor at thetravelmagazine.net, said that folks from the UK are renowned for keeping a stiff upper lip and not being deterred from their plans, but pointed out that they may be putting themselves in peril, even if the virus won't affect them too badly.
