Responsibilities
Business Analyst Co-Op/Intern





LOCATION: San Jose, California





HYBRID: This is a hybrid role (remote & in-office) requiring the student work from the San Jose office approximately 3 days a week.





PROGRAM TERM:



Summer: Start Date May or June– August or September 2023


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:


The Business Analyst Intern will structure and perform analysis from disparate data sources to inform and support strategic decision-making through visualizations and dashboards. The role reports to the Business Planning Manager.




Gather and analyze massive amounts of quantitative and qualitative information expeditiously.



Work with large data sets, data preparation and data management techniques

Prepare business reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial, quote and pricing information.

Combine disparate data sources, transform and prepare analysis, reporting and analytics that drives business performance management

Develop and manage tracking processes for strategic initiatives, pilots, and executions

Support senior pricing team members in analytics on ad hoc basis

Develop and define multiple ways to effectively address at risk items and implement solutions for those which add greatest value

Perform analysis based on limited and imperfect information

Demonstrate solid business and financial acumen when analyzing financial impact to the business

Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and profitability projects through complex analysis

Support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new implementations of systems and tools


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:



Pursuing Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business/Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline with strong academic credentials

Proficiency in SQL, Python or R

Experience with any BI Tools (eg. Tableau, Power BI etc..), Excel, PowerPoint

Knowledgeable on data preparation tools (eg. Tableau Prep/Power Query)

Background in data analytics/business intelligence courses

Excellent mathematical and statistics skills
