Day 1

Today marks the beginning of our immersion at Naic Medicare Hospital. I was late by 5 minutes since I needed to print my resume first. Ma'am dang accompanied us to the head nurse, ma'am aubeth, who introduced us to the head doctor, doctor custudio. We took a picture with ma'am dang after which she left us for Medicare. Ma'am Aubeth accompanied us to assist us and tour the hospital; she also introduced us to the nurses and administrative personnel. While ma'am Aubeth was showing us around, I noticed Nicole, one of my primary school classmates. Ma'am Aubeth sent me and Liezel to the station where the interviewing is nearby in OPD on the first day of my experience. In the meantime, we observed what the nurse was doing while interviewing the patient. After the nurse interviewed the patient, she accompanied Dra to the emergency room. Custudio then takes us inside the nursing station in the lobby, where Ma'am Wellah approaches us to demonstrate how to get blood pressure or bp. We are on standby because we are too shy to sit. Around 11:30, we decided to go outside and eat lunch near the hospital. We asked permission to eat outside, and the nurses agreed and said yes. After lunch, pregnant women will have an OB check-up. Nurse Kristine instructed that I obtain the lists of pregnant ladies. And I'm the one who knows. When my colleagues are busy filing the outpatient record in the drawer near the OB ward, she assists and instructs me on how to retrieve the record from the drawer, and she allows me to take it. Following that, I handed it over to ma'am Kristine at the emergency room. I spotted my groupmates, who was diligently filing the outpatient record in the drawer, and I insisted on assisting them.

Nurse Grace showed us how to encode the new patients who had been questioned earlier on the index cards that had to be encoded first for them to be recorded in the hospital. We filled all of the drawers with index cards.

After that, nurse grace talks about her experiences in his nursing class and offers some advice. And we appreciate her sharing her experiences. Then there's the patient who has a superficial wound on his forehead. Ma'am Myla assisted him in cleaning his wound, but it was still bleeding, so I asked Ma'am Myla what's called to the yellow tape she was placed into the wound, and she said asked Ma'am Grace, who said it was called a leucoplast. Leucoplast is used to stop wound bleeding. Around 5 p.m., we signed the DTR to ma'am grace. Before leaving, we said 'thank you po' to all of the nurses.
It had been a long and exhausting day.
