Some spiritual concepts, usually the ones which seem so simplistic are in actuality the most complex and by far the most crucial to understand. The relation between Death and LIFE is one of those concepts; but it is impossible to comprehend the relation until one fact is clear: YOU DO NOT BECOME A SPIRIT AFTER YOU DIE, as some believe. The fact is you are a Spirit RIGHT NOW.

There are volumes of books written about specific evidence that there is life beyond the gates of death. Religious or social beliefs, teachings, culture or tradition has not presented a concrete evidence of life after death. There are those who do not believe there is life beyond. Death is the end. These can only be subject to argument- they can neither be proved or disproved.

Don't try to deny how you feel about the person who died. Don't be afraid to think about them and about the good times you've shared together. If you have a creative streak, do something with it. Create something dedicated to them. A painting, a poem, a cross stitch work, anything artistic, do it and dedicate it to them.

If you are placing a banner on the piece it should state your relationship to the deceased. Customary banners are 'beloved Mother', 'Dearest Friend' etc. Many times a florist does not offer this as it is not something that they charge for and it costs them money. It will make the sympathy flowers you are sending look special so you should consider if it is appropriate for you.

It offers you the opportunity to actually plan your funeral service well in advance. This then offers you the opportunity to decide how the service will run and the way in which you would like people to commemorate your life now you have gone.



The people are all so afraid of Death. They want to live forever. They hate Death. How could they not? Death is frightening, to be sure. It always wins. And it will come for everyone eventually, because no one can cheat Death.

Besides, why would you want to live forever? Imagine if you were only a 100 year old. What would you do? Your friends are gone. Your husband/wife is dead. Your entire generation is dead. Your body is weak and you feel alone. All of that is a nature's way to say 'It's time to go' because death is a perfectly normal process in a cycle of life. It's just very inconvenient that we (humans) are smart enough to be aware of it. Although the fear of death is perfectly normal, try not to think about death, but enjoy every second of your life. Because you have only got one.
